Calvin (6-4) overcame a 14-point second half deficit to take a 54-53 lead with just over three minutes remaining but could not hold the lead as the host Rangers outscored the Knights 11-3 down the stretch.
Regis (7-5) held a 28-27 halftime lead and then used a 17-4 run in the opening five minutes of the second half to take a 45-31 lead.
Calvin countered with a 22-9 run capped off by a three-pointer by senior Kyle Trewhella to take a 54-53 lead. Regis responded with a run over the final three minutes however to pull away for a fifth consecutive win.
Calvin was led in defeat by Trewhella with 18 points while senior Andy Draayer had 13. Regis was led by junior Brandon Butler with 15 points while senior Logan Garvin had 14.
Calvin returns to action on Saturday when it faces Colorado Christian University in Denver in a game slated to start at 3:00 p.m. (EST).
