North Central (Ill.) 107, Judson (Ill.) 46

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Anthony Simmons (Bolingbrook, Ill./Romeoville) had 17 points and freshman Chris Drennan (Bloomington, Ill./Normal Community) added 14, as North Central easily defeated NAIA opponent Judson College 107-46, Friday, December 30th. The Cardinals end 2005 with a perfect 9-0 record.

Coach Todd Raridon’s squad was 25-35 (71.4 percent) from the floor in the first half on its way to a 60-20 halftime lead. North Central held the Eagles scoreless for the final 7:22 of the period to go along with 20 percent shooting from the field.

Simmons was 7-of-9 shooting for the game, while frontcourt teammate Adam Krumtinger (Towanda, Ill./Normal Community) was 6-of-8. Krumtinger contributed 12 points and six boards in the rout.

Freshman Tom Podzorny (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) earned quality minutes as a reserve, notching a career high 10 points and six rebounds.
