Farmingdale State 69, Fisk 51

Ashland, Va. — The Farmingdale State men's basketball team tonight defeated Fisk University in the Championship game of the Rees Jewelers Christmas Classic at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA. The Rams defeated Fisk 69-51. Farmingdale State senior guard Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C. Bryant) was named Tournament MVP and senior forward Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) was named to the All-Tournament Team. Farmingdale improved to 6-3 overall, while Fisk falls to 7-3.

Warren led all scorers with 21 points. McMillan finished with 9 points and 20 rebounds. Peter Lipka (Shelton, CT/Shelton) and Daimien Santana (Brooklyn, NY/Grady) both added 10 points for the Rams.

Fisk was led by Jeremiah Williamson with 16 points and Aaron Hinton with 10 rebounds.

Farmingdale State will resume play on January 9th, 2006 as they host Skyline opponent St. Joseph's College in a conference double-header with the women's team. The women's game will tip-off at 5:00pm, while the men's game will follow at 7:00pm. Both games will be broadcast online through a live video broadcast. Tune into the website shortly before 5:00pm for the live feed to the games.
