The game was delayed for one hour and 15 minutes after the Seahawks arrived late for the game, but the delay could not slow down Stricker as he grabbed a career-high 16 boards and totaled 22 points on 10-of-16 shooting to lead the Bulldogs (7-3 overall). DSU shot 50.7 percent from the field and out-rebounded BC (7-7 overall), 43-29, for the game.
A 9-0 run at the end of the first half gave DeSales its largest lead of the opening half, 42-24. Stricker had two lay-ups during the spurt and sophomore Jamie McCloskey added a trey for DSU.
In the second half the Bulldogs took its largest lead of the game, 65-37, at the 14:04 mark when junior Sedale Walton broke free on the break and finished a 7-0 run with a dunk off a feed from freshman Jeff Raimo. The lead never went below 20 points over the last 14 minutes and DSU cruised to its fourth straight win.
In addition to Stricker three other Bulldogs reached double figures including junior Steve Kriczky with 14 points on the strength of four treys. Senior Drew Christman added 12 points and sophomore Eddie Ohlson added 10 tallies and a game-high eight assists.
Walton totaled eight points off the bench, Raimo tallied five points and a season-high four assists and fellow freshman Ed Lapinski totaled nine points and seven rebounds in 16 minutes off the pine.
Rondu Stevens had 17 points and Michael Manusama added 16 points to lead the Seahawks in the loss. BC shot 42.1 percent from the floor and committed 16 turnovers.
