PHOENIX, Ariz. — Thursday night, the Regents stormed the Lions of Albright College in a close game. The Regents came out on top, though, increasing their season record to 7-5. Albright is now 6-3. The Regents had first blood in the match, but the Lions roared to as much as a 14-point lead before being overruled by the Regents, who took the lead for themselves with a 3-pointer from Seneca Evans (Chicago, IL/Chicago Vocational) just before halftime. The game went back and forth with leads of no more than 5 for the second half, with the Regents ending up on top, 77-73.
Maurice Smith (Loves Park, IL/Harlem) led the Regents with 34 points and 6 rebounds. Lane Good (Chrisman, IL/Chrisman), Seneca Evans, and Dupree Powell (Rockford, IL/Jefferson) each scored in double digits for the Regents. The Regents are now 7-5 and will play again today against Stevens Tech. Albright is now 6-3 for the season.
