WESTERVILLE, OH — Thomas More placed three scorers in double figures as they fell to Ohio Wesleyan Thursday, 84-67, in the opening round game of the Smokey Ballenger "O" Club Classic at Otterbein University.

The Saints were able to shoot at a higher percentage than Ohio Wesleyan, but the Battlin Bishops connected on 11 more free throws and forced eight more turnovers in posting the win.

In his return to the court, junior E.J. Haynes (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills) led the way with 15 points, nine rebounds and six blocks. Junior Michael Selm (Cincinnati, OH/LaSalle) and freshman Mark Lucas (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) each posted a career-high 11 points for Thomas More.

Freshman Jeremy Abell (Louisville/Trinity) dished out a team and career-high four assists.

Thomas More (0-11) will play Nazereth at 6 p.m. in the consolation game of the "O' Club Classic.
