Farmingdale State 81, Kenyon 59

Ashland, Va. — Farmingdale State men's basketball improved to 5-3 overall with a win over Kenyon College (3-6) at the Randolph-Macon College Rees Jewelers Christmas Classic on Thursday, December 29th. The Rams led 37-26 at the half and continued to score on Kenyon in the second for the 81-59 victory.

Senior forward Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) led the Rams with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Senior Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C. Bryant) and sophomores Peter Lipka (Shelton, CT/Shelton) and Brian Robinson (White Plains, NY/White Plains) all finished with 11 points.

For Kenyon, Matt Formato (Downers Grove, IL/Downers Grove North) scored 19 points, while Bryan Yelvington (Arlington Heights, IL/John Hersey) grabbed 10 rebounds. Korey Haddox (Zanesville, OH/Zanesville) finished with 14 points.

Farmingdale State now advances to the Championship game on Friday, December 30th at 8:00pm. The Rams will face Fisk University (7-2), who defeated Randolph-Macon 80-72 in the first game.
