The Cardinals placed all five starters in double figures, powered by a season-high 16 points from Adam Krumtinger (Towanda, Ill./Normal). Dan Walton (Carol Stream, Ill./Glenbard North) also scored 16 points and led the team in rebounds with nine. Anthony Simmons (Bolingbrook, Ill./Romeoville) added 14 points and seven boards, while the starting backcourt of Adam Teising (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) and Ray Vicario (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) chipped in 10 apiece.
Franklin was led by Jon Neill's 15 points. Brandon Ray contributed 14.
North Central built a commanding 38-23 lead and never looked back. The Cardinals shot 58 percent in the first half (18 of 31) and 60 percent for the game (33 of 55) while holding the Grizzlies to 28 percent shooting in the first half (8 of 29) and 38 percent for the game (25 of 67). North Central also outrebounded Franklin 37-28.
