Kaleo Kina led Navy with 19 points and a game-high eight assists. Matt Fannin added 16 points in just 19 minutes, while Greg Sprink and Carlton Baldwin each finished with 14 points. Baldwin also pulled down eight rebounds. David Hooper finished with a double-double of 13 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Adam Teague contributed 10 points for the Midshipmen.
Stem's 27 points came on 7-for-16 shooting from the field and 12-of-15 shooting from the free throw line. Senior guard Dustin Abbate added 13 points and drained 4-of-6 three-point field goal attempts for Washington. Senior guard Travis Moore added 11 points, while freshman guard Tim Kohlrus tallied 10. Junior forward Kevin Marshburn connected on a pair of three-pointers to score a career-high six points.
Washington's only lead of the game came with 16:59 left in the first half when Stem converted a lay-up and free throw to give the Shoremen a 7-5 lead. Navy then went on a 26-6 run to go up, 31-13, with 8:05 left in the opening period.
Navy's 106 points in the game were a season-high for the Midshipmen. The Shoremen's 80 points represent the second-most Navy has given up in a game this season. Stem's 27 points represent the second-most points scored by an individual player against Navy this season.
