Farmingdale State 103, Manhattanville 102

Purchase, NY — The Farmingdale State men's basketball team improved to 3-3 overall, 2-0 in the Skyline after todays 103-102 triple-overtime conference victory in Purchase, NY against Manhattanville College (4-3, 1-2 Skyline). Manhattanville led the entire first period and by as much as 18 points in the second, before the Rams went on a 21-12 run to get within nine points. Farmingdale continued to pressure the Valiants and force turnovers, tying the game at 84 with 26 seconds remaining. Manhattanville tried a final chance 3-pointer at the buzzer, but missed.

Both teams scored only four points in the first and second overtime, forcing the game into another 5-minute overtime period with the score tied 92-92. Senior guard Dashawn Warren (Astoria, NY/W.C. Bryant) took the game into his own hands, scoring eight of Farmingdale's 11 triple-overtime points to give the Rams their 18th straight regular-season conference victory. Warren finished with 20 points, 10 assists and six steals.

Senior forward Kenny McMillan (Bronx, NY/All Hallows) is three points away from becoming Farmingdale State's All-Time leading scorer after scoring game-highs of 35 points and 13 rebounds. He now has 1347 points to date, en route to break former teammate Damien McKenzie's record of 1349 which was set last season. Farmingdale State junior guard Terry Menefee (Mission, KS/Shawnee Mission North) also scored in double figures with 17 points, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc.

Manhattanville was led by freshman Justin Morris (West Haven, CT) and junior John DiBetta (Valhalla, NY) with 22 points each. Sophomore Brian Fink (Queens, NY) finished with 18 points and sophomore Donte Chisolm (Mount Vernon, NY) tallied 17 points and 10 assists.

The Rams will host Skyline opponent Yeshiva University on Tuesday, December 20th at 8:00pm, the final home game of 2005.
