CONWAY, Ark. — Albion College won the opening match-up in the Cliff Garrison Classic at Hendrix College, defeating the University of Dallas 74-48.

Albion (6-1) was led by Brandon Crawford's 21 points and 13 rebounds, including seven offensive boards. Mike Bailey added 12 points, including 3-5 from beyond the 3-point arc.

Dallas (2-8) was led by Corey Loverson's 16 points. Michael Cusack led the Crusaders with seven rebounds.

Albion led 36-25 at the half but held Dallas to just 23 percent shooting in the second half as it pulled away. The Britons also connected on 20-of-29 free throws.
