Elms 92, Massachusetts College 54

NORTH ADAMS, Ma. — Elms College junior guard David Williams (Hartford, CT) netted a game-high 20 points and 13 players reached the scoring column as the Blazers won their third straight game with a convincing 92-54 non-conference win over MCLA in Saturday afternoon’s non-conference men’s basketball game at North Adams.

With the win, the Blazers improved to 5-3 overall, while the Trailblazers fell to 2-7.

Williams finished with his game-high total on 9 of 11 shooting from the field in just 20 minutes of action. Junior guard Justin Davis (Dix Hills, NY) added 11 points, including three 3-pointers and junior point guard John Ancrum (Harlem, NY) added 10 points and a game-high eight assists in the victory.

The Blazers raced out to a 53-30 lead at intermission thanks to 67.7-percent shooting from the field in the first half.

Elms College returns to action on Friday, January 6 and Saturday, January 7 in the Carrabba’s Shootout at Embry-Riddle University.
