Chicago 79, Kalamazoo 59

CHICAGO — Clay Carmody scored a game-high 24 points to lift Chicago to a 79-59 non-conference win over Kalamazoo Saturday at the Ratner Athletics Center.

Carmody connected on 10 of 11 shots from the field as the Maroons (5-3) snapped a two-game losing streak.

Chicago never trailed in the first half and led by as many as 17 points en route to taking a 39-28 advantage at the intermission.

The Maroons built their largest lead of the game, 55-37, at the 12:15 mark and maintained at least a 14-point margin the rest of the way.

Brandon Woodhead finished with 15 points and nine assists for Chicago, while Tim Reynolds scored 14 points off the bench.

Kyle Konwinski and Pat Clancy paced Kalamazoo with 13 points each.
