SPRINGFIELD, Ma. — Elms College senior forward Danielle Dugre (Holyoke, MA) recorded a game-high 25 points and 14 rebounds and three players reached double figures to pace the Blazers to a convincing 73-31 win over Bay Path College in Saturday evening’s North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women’s basketball game at Springfield Technical Community College.

Elms College won its third straight game to improve to 4-3 and remained atop the NAC West Division Standings with a perfect 3-0 mark. Bay Path fell to 0-7, 0-6 NAC.

The Blazers jumped all over the Wildcats early as they scored 23 of the game’s first 25 points to take a 23-2 lead with 7:30 remaining in the first half. Dugre finished with 13 first half points as the Blazers built a 37-8 lead at the break.

Freshman forward Paige Schneider (Windsor, CT) registered her first collegiate career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while senior guard Karen Prattico (Holyoke, MA) added a season-high 12 points on 6 of 7 shooting from the field in just 15 minutes to bolster the Blazers’ victory.

Elms College returns to action on Friday, January 6 at Trinity College. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
