Baruch 103, Polytechnic 50

New York, NY — The Baruch Bearcats shot 61 percent (39-64 fg) and scored the first 15 points to defeat Polytechnic, 103-50, in a non-conference game played Saturday afternoon in the ARC Arena.

The victory was the eight consecutive, as every available player on the roster scored this afternoon.

The Bearcats led 59-16 at halftime, nearly tying the total amount of points they scored two days (61) earlier in the home win against CCNY.

They also shot a torrid 14-21 from three-point range, led by Louie Karis (Brooklyn, NY/Xaverian) with a game-high 17 points (5-7, 3fg).

Robi Davidson (Beverly Hills/Tel Aviv, Israel) and Tim Hepworth (Staten Island, NY/Xaverian) scored 14 points each, while Christopher Chin (Forest Hills, NY/Forest Hills) added 10 points and three steals.

Thomas Young (Tasi High/Athens, Greece) led the Fighting Blue Jays with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Polytechnic struggled all afternoon shooting thirty percent (19-63), including 9-31 in the opening half.

Baruch will return to action this Tuesday with a non-conference game at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
