In a game that saw 13 lead changes, the Panthers outscored Southern Virginia 31-28 in the second half after being tied 33-33 at the intermission.
Harris was 9-17 from the floor, including 4-8 from behind the arc. Junior guard Rob Fuller had 13 points, eight steals, and five rebounds for Ferrum. Sophomore guard Rafael Holland chipped in nine points.
Southern Virginia was led by Tanner Johnson's 19 points on 9-12 shooting from the floor. No other player reached double-figure scoring for the Knights. Southern Virginia falls to 6-10 with the loss.
Ferrum is now 2-6 overall and will be back in action Dec. 16 at Davis & Elkins College and at Eastern Mennonite University Dec. 17.
