The Vikings led 32-26 at halftime but a 6-0 run to start the second half bumped the margin up to double digits (38-27) following a layup from Jay McAdams-Thornton. The lead would stay around 10 points for the rest of the way, ballooning to 17 (72-55) with 1:10 left on a Harrigan’s final basket. McAdams-Thornton added 19 points on eight of 14 from the floor, one of two from three point range and two of three from the free throw line. He also grabbed seven rebounds and had two steals.
Nate Swetalla had eight points and Joe Caricato shared the rebounding lead with McAdams-Thornton as each had seven. Drew Wessels had a career high eight assists and a pair of steals.
After shooting only .438 (14-32) from the floor in the first half, the Vikings hit at a .552 (16-29) clip in the second half and finished at .492 (30-61) for the game. They narrowly won the rebounding battle by a margin of 34-33 but only committed 12 turnovers for the game.
Mike Kilburg led Coe with 15 points and seven rebounds as the Kohawks fell to 4-2 with the loss.
