Elms 78, Lesley 65

CAMBRIDGE, Ma. — Elms College sophomore forward Renato Lindmets (Springfield, MA) potted a game-high 20 points and the Blazers had six players reach double figures en route to a 78-65 win over Lesley University in Tuesday night’s North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men’s basketball opener for both teams at Cambridge.

With the win, the Blazers improved to 3-3 overall, 1-0 NAC. The Lynx fell to 3-4 overall, 0-1 NAC.

Junior point guard John Ancrum (Harlem, NY) netted 13 points and dished out a game-high eight assists, junior guard David Williams (Hartford, CT) scored 12 points and sophomore guard Randy Hite (Hartford, CT), sophomore forward Nate Hawes (New Hope, MN) and freshman forward Antoine Holder (Hartford, CT) all added 10 points apiece as the other Blazers to reach double figures in the victory.

The Blazers also held decisive advantages in both total rebounds (42-30) and offensive rebounds (14-8).

Elms College returns to non-conference play with a game at Western New England College (WNEC) on Thursday, December 8. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
