Involved in a nip and tuck battle for 16 minutes the Daniel Webster College Eagles saw a two point game evolve into a 16 point deficit as Lyndon State went on an offensive blitz enroute to a 77-53 victory. The first half Hornet attack was more than the Eagles could withstand though they did manage to nearly match the winners in the scoring column in the second half. Sophomore Neal Foley (Lexington, Mass.) led the Eagles in scoring tossing in 22 points. Freshman Steve Auston (Brockton, Mass.) was the only other Eagle to reach double digits in scoring notching 10. Chris Boone (Durham, Maine), owned the defensive boards garnering 10 to go along with two blocks and four assists.
