Saturday afternoon at TLU’s Memorial Gymnasium, Texas Lutheran led 55-51 with 1:16 remaining before UT-Tyler rallied to score the final seven points of the game.
The Bulldogs’ Jason Morales had a chance to tie the game or give TLU a 1-point lead when he was fouled with three seconds to go. But Morales missed the front end of a 1-and-1, and UT-Tyler’s Jamal Vanderbilt secured the rebound and made both of his free throws after being fouled.
Hunter Holsonback’s desperation three at the buzzer bounced off the side of the rim.
