Freshman forward Joe Meglio (Half Hollow Hills West / Dix Hills, NY) led the Golden Eagles (1-1), who dominated the diminutive City Tech team in the rebounding department (47-38) with 17 points. Sophomore forward Dondi Peterson (Island Trees / Bethpage, NY) added 10 points, while junior guard Brian Fenton (Island Trees / Levittown, NY) had 12 points for the victors.
The Yellow Jackets forward tandem of junior Otis Saylee (Seward Park / New York, NY) and senior Danul Cabbagestalk (John Adams / Brooklyn, NY) topped the team with each points each and nine and six rebounds, respectively.
Next up for City Tech is a CUNYAC road game at borough-rival Brooklyn College on Tuesday night.
