Piedmont 98, Rust 92Jackson, MS — The Piedmont College men's basketball team rebounded from last night's hard-fought loss with a 98-92 victory over Rust College on the final day of the Millsaps College Round Ball Classic in Jackson, MS. After leading by as many as 18 in the second half, Piedmont held off a late rally from Rust to earn the South Region victory.
Mike Adams led five Lions in double figures with a game-high 20 points while Kyle Kemmerer pitched in with 18 points. Jake Green added 10 points, six rebounds, and six assists while David Adcock and Jake Baldwin added 14 and 10 respectively. Piedmont returns to action after final exams when the Lions travel to Marietta, GA to take on nationally-ranked NAIA Southern Polytechnic University with an early tip-off set for 5:30 PM.
