Lycoming got out to a 41-22 halftime lead after shooting 50.0 percent from the floor and knocking down seven of 11 three-point attempts. The Warriors used a 10-2 run in the middle of the first half to extend their lead to 30-15 with 5:05 remaining in the stanza.
On the day, Lycoming was able to control the boards, out-rebounding the Devils 48-34.
While the Warriors shot well in the first half, the Devils struggled, going 6-for-24 from the floor (25.0 percent) and 1-for-6 on three pointers.
The Devils played the Warriors a much closer half after the break, but the 19-point difference proved too much to overcome.
FDU’s attacked was led by junior forward Pierre Schmitt with 13 points and eight boards. Junior center Brian Rimol added 11 points and a team-high four rebounds.
For Lycoming, Kevin Morris led all scorers with a season-high 21 points. Jonathan Pribble added 11 points and seven rebounds. Dave Wilson (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville) notched 10 markers.
The Devils will be back in action on Monday, when they host Marymount for a non-conference game at 6:00 pm.
