EGLIN, Ill. — The Northwestern College men’s basketball team saw their six-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday night, losing to Judson College on account of a 75-63 final score in the championship game of the Judson College Tournament. One day earlier, Northwestern routed Principia College 88-57 in the semi-final round of the two-day event. Facing Principia College on Friday afternoon, Northwestern bolted to an early lead in the first half and held a 50-24 advantage at the midway point. In the second half, the Eagles continued to dominate the non-conference tussle, leading by 30-plus points most of the half in cruising to the 88-57 triumph. Northwestern outscored Principia 32-12 in points in the paint and also owned the upper-hand in second-chance points by a 28-10 margin. The Eagles were successful on 32-of-72 (44.4%) from the floor and 14-of-17 (82.4%) from the free throw line. Senior sharp-shooter Nels Fogelberg (Cook, Minn.) posted a team-high 15 points, sinking 5-of-7 from the floor. Andrew Cramer (Alma Center, Wis./Lincoln HS), Daniel Hanson (Plymouth, Minn./Maranatha Academy), and Joseph Sir (Cresco, Iowa/Crestwood HS) joined Fogelberg in double-figures scoring with 14, 12, and 11 points respectively. Sophomore forward Mike Anderstrom (Mendota heights, Minn./New Life Academy) chipped in 8 points and tallied 14 rebounds.
