Pitt-Greensburg 68, Penn State-Behrend 65

Greensburg, PA — The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Men's Basketball team ended a three-game losing streak by defeating Penn State Behrend 68-65 in the conference opener for both teams. The win improved the Bobcats to 2-3 overall on the season and 1-0 in the AMCC.

Senior guard Duke Cooper had a monster game for the Bobcats, shooting 10 for 14 from the field on his way to a game-high 27 points. He also dished out a team-high five assists. Junior forward Bill Scavincky added 13 points and grabbed a team-best eight rebounds.

Kevin Buczynkski led the Lions with 13 points, while J.J. Ferguson netted 11 points. Ben Gahan contributed a 'double-double', scoring 10 points and grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds.

Pitt-Greensburg will be back in action tomorrow evening when they host conference rival Pitt-Bradford. Game time is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
