Jackson, MS — The Piedmont College men's basketball team dropped a tightly-contested 82-76 non-conference victory at Millsaps College this evening in the opening round of the Millsaps College Round Ball Classic in Jackson, MS. The game featured nine lead changes.

The Lions jumped out early on the host Majors shooting 50% (11-22) from the floor including 6-9 (67%) from behind the three-point line as Piedmont carried a 38-37 advantage into halftime.

Mike Adams scored a team-high 17 points to lead the Lions while teammates Jake Green and David Adcock added 13 and 12 respectively.

Piedmont returns to action tomorrow afternoon when the Lions square off against region foe Rust College with tip-off set for 2:00 PM CST at Millsaps College.
