Millikin led 41-32 at the half, but Aurora scored 52 second-half points for the win. With the loss, the Big Blue falls to 3-1 on the season.
Drew Gensler led the Big Blue with 22 points including 9-of-10 free throw shooting. Bryon Graven came off the bench for 17 points including a 5-for-5 3-point performance in the first half. Korte Long added 12 for Millikin and Lance Brooks scored 11. Long notched a double-double with his team-high 12 rebounds.
For Aurora, Larry Welton scored a game-high 29 points followed by 18 from Jeremy Cartwright and 13 from Courtney Carson. Cartwright led the Spartans with nine rebounds.
Millikin shot 54.3 percent from the field, 40 percent from 3-point and 61.8 percent from the free throw line. Aurora shot 43.8 percent from the field, 40 percent from 3-point and 70 percent from the free throw line.
