BRIDGEWATER, Ma. — In non-conference women’s basketball action this evening from the Tinsley Center, the Bears of Bridgewater State College, led by senior forward Erin Lantry (Fitchburg, MA), defeated the Gators of Pine Manor College, 77-54.

The Bears extend their winning streak to three games as they are now 3-1 on the young season. Pine Manor drops to 2-2 on the year.

Lantry poured in a game high 15 points on 7 of 12 shooting as she was one of four Bears in double figures. She also added six rebounds, two blocks and two steals. Junior Samantha Curry (Braintree, MA) added 12 points, while seniors Jessica Worden (Rockland, MA) and Katelyn Hart (Somerset, MA) chipped in with 11 points and 10 points respectively.

Pine Manor sophomore Linsey Voy (Edinburgh, Scotland) paced the Gators with 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting, while teammate Laura Cecil (Cleveland, OH) was the only other player in double figures with 10 points.

Bridgewater will look to make it four straight wins on Thursday as they travel to Babson College. Pine Manor will take on Lesley University tomorrow night in their home opener.
