The fast paced game saw only two lead changes. With Rivier leading 69-66 Adam Rich converted a 4 point play after being fouled. Thomas led the entire first half and the Terriers extended their 70-69 lead to 79-69 with 3:50 remaining.
Dan Grappi scored 19 points on 5-5 shooting from the 3 point arc. James Godley added 14 points and David Percy 10 for the winners. Freshman Josh Yucius cleared 15 rebounds.
Rivier College was led by John McMahon, who tallied 23 points including 11-13 from the foul line. Rivier outrebounded Thomas 42-36. Miles Roberge and Brian Stice pulled down 10 boards each.
