Pomona-Pitzer hosted Menlo College Monday Night, their 3rd game in 4 nights. Menlo had won the previous two contests against P-P, the last one being in 2001. Pomona-Pitzer came out of the blocks aggressive defensively and offensively, as they got to the line 19 times in the first half, making 16. P-P’s defense was suffocating as Menlo shot 7-25 for 28%. Alexander Lloyd pulled down 16 rebounds, and led 4 players in double figures with 14 points.
