Pomona-Pitzer came out of the blocks aggressive defensively and offensively, as they got to the line 19 times in the first half, making 16. P-P’s defense was suffocating as Menlo shot 7-25 for 28%. Halftime scoreboard read Pomona-Pitzer 37, Menlo 17. The second half saw much of the same as the home team cruised to a 69-42 blowout. All 15 Sagecocks saw action, including all 9 freshman. Alexander Lloyd pulled down 16 rebounds, and led 4 players in double figures with 14 points.
