Blackburn 55, Millikin 44

DECATUR, Ill. — The Big Blue men's basketball team struggled through icy shooting all night and found itself on the wrong side of the column tonight, falling to Blackburn 55-44.

The Big Blue shot 30.4 percent from the floor in the game and just 17.9 percent in the first half. Blackburn had troubles of its own, shooting just 28.6 percent in the first half and 37.0 overall.

Millikin was led by Chuck Williams' 20 points, the team's only double-digit scorer. Williams and Korte Long led the Big Blue with four rebounds each and Mike Gavic picked up three steals.

Blackburn got 15 points from Luka Djedovic and 14 from Nick Barnett in the win to improve to 4-1. Dee Jones hauled in 12 rebounds and Corey Waters had three steals.
