Washington U. 94, Wisconsin Lutheran 53

Greencastle, Ind. — The 21st-ranked Washington University men's basketball team defeated Wisconsin Lutheran College, 94-53, on Sunday in the Mike Rokicki Community Versus Cancer Challenge, which was held at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. The Bears opened up a 41-point halftime lead (58-17) and maintained that margin the rest of the way.

Washington U. limited Wisconsin Lutheran to 18.2 percent shooting from the field in the first frame, while the Bears connected on 62.9 percent of their field-goal attempts. Senior Rob Keller paced WU with 11 points in the first half on 5-of-8 shooting.

Senior Anthony Hollins added 13 points for the Bears on 6-of-6 shooting from the field. Hollins garnered All-Tournament Team accolades for efforts.

Junior Scott Stone dished out 10 assists, while classmate Brandon York scored a team-high 15 points. Freshman Troy Ruths notched career-high 14 points and seven rebounds.

Washington University (3-2) returns to action Friday, Dec. 3 against Benedictine University (Ill.) in the Bill Merris Classic at Illinois College. Tip off is set for 6 p.m. in Jacksonville, Ill.
