Coast Guard 77, Anna Maria 51NEW LONDON, Conn. — Freshman Jeff Prebeck had a career-high 24 points to go with 11 rebounds and Coast Guard outscored Anna Maria 18-3 to start the second half enroute to their third straight win 77-51 over the Amcats in a non-conference game.
Coast Guard led 39-30 at halftime and used an 18-3 run over the first nine minutes of the second half and take a 57-33 lead with 11:08 left. Dan Sheppard had 17 points and 16 rebounds for Coast Guard (3-1) while Kevin Edes added 11 points and 10 rebounds. Matt O’Malley led Anna Maria (0-2) with 20 points while Quincy Nunnally had 11 points and a team-high 11 rebounds for the Amcats.
