Alex Stewart and Todd Capes netted career highs in the win with 29 and 22 points, respectively, and Steve Schott posted a double-double in just his third collegiate game with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Reid Sakel dished out a team-high six assists in the win.

Kevin Christensen paced the Warriors with 30 points, nine assists and five steals, while B.J. Miller added 16 points and Lewis Jiles followed with 13.

The Tigers shot 70 percent in the first half and hit six of 11 from three-point range led by Stewart's 17 and led 48-38 at the break after the Warriors closed the half with a 10-2 run over the final two minutes.

Wisconsin Lutheran cut the gap to five early in the second half with a 7-2 run over the first 2:10 before the Tigers pushed the margin back to double digits. DePauw still held an 83-71 advantage after Stewart's layup with 3:46 remaining, but a three-pointer by Christensen and a jumper from Miller cut the margin to 83-76 with 3:05 left.

Christensen scored the Warriors' next seven points with pair of free throws with 1:58 left, a three-pointer with 1:09 remaining and two free throws with 25 seconds left to close to within 83-82.

The Tigers missed six straight free throws during that stretch and Wisconsin Lutheran had the ball with a chance to take the lead, but Brian Hagel's shot was off the mark with three seconds left. Schott grabbed the rebound and was immediately fouled. Schott then knocked down both free throws with .8 seconds remaining to make it 85-82. Following a timeout, the Warriors were unable to get off a shot after Stewart stole the inbounds heave.

DePauw finished with 58 percent shooting for the contest and knocked down 10 of 21 from three-point range. The Warriors shot 45.5 percent from the floor. The Tigers held a 34-29 advantage on the boards.
