Capital 67, Ohio Wesleyan 56

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Capital University's men's basketball went on a 13-0 run with six minutes left in the game to score a 67-56 over Ohio Wesleyan University in the first day of the Ohio Athletic Conference/North Coast Athletic Conference Challenge at The Capital Center in Columbus.

Eight ties, five lead changes and a 26-26 tie at halftime highlighted the game's opening 34 minutes and Capital had a 47-46 lead before the decisive run.

Capital had three players in double figures led by 15 points from senior Jake Beck, sophomore David Johnson had 14 points, while sophomore Bill Cullom had five of his 10 points during that 13-0 run.

Ohio Wesleyan got a game-high 22 points from Andy Warnock.

The College of Wooster beat Mount Union College, 79-69, in the opening game of the day.

The action moves to Delaware, Ohio, Sunday at 4 p.m. for day two of the OAC/NCAC Challenge as Capital takes on No. 4 Wooster and Ohio Wesleyan hosts Mount Union.
