Northern Kentucky 106, Thomas More 83

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY — Thomas More placed four scorers in double figures Wednesday, however, it wasn’t enough as the Saints fell to the Division II Northern Kentucky Norse, 106-83, at Regents Hall.
Sophomore Garry Horton (Louisville, KY/Pleasure Ridge Park) led the way with career-high 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-7 from behind long-range. Wednesday’s game could prove pivotal for the point guard as he came into the game shooting just 1-of-11.
After falling down by 23 with 11 minutes left in the contest, the Saints went on a 20-8 run to get to within 11. During the run, Thomas More connected on three straight three-pointers, including two by Horton.
However, the Norse ended the game on a 17-5 run for the win.
Sophomore Chris Hill (Mason, OH/Mason) scored 14 points along with four assists and four steals, while junior R.K. Thurman (Portsmouth, OH/Portsmouth) added 13. Junior guard Andrae Woodard (Allensville/Todd County Central) scored 12.
Thomas More (1-2) will return to action on December 1 for its home opener with Wilmington at 7:30 p.m.
