Smith 61, Elms 51

NORTHAMPTON, Ma. — Elms College junior guard Karen Prattico (Holyoke, MA) scored 15 points, but host Smith College had two players reach double figures en route to a 61-51 victory over the Blazers in Tuesday evening’s non-conference women’s basketball game at Northampton.

Freshman forward Amy Kasala (Dalton, MA) pulled down a game high 11 rebounds for the Blazers, who drop to 0-3 overall.

Sophomore Nati Lenchner (Azol, Israel) tallied a game high 18 points including 4 for 6 from behind the 3-point line and junior Shelley Harrison (Reston, VA) grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked eight shots for the Pioneers who improve to 2-1.

The Blazers open up North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play when they travel to Becker College on Wednesday, December 1st. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
