Hartwick 55, Massachusetts College 51

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Junior guard Tim Kindlon (Bethlehem/Delmar, N.Y.) scored a game-high 17 points to lead the Hartwick College men's basketball team to a 55-51 victory over Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Tuesday.

Kindlon scored 14 points in the first half to help the Hawks (1-2) take a 30-14 lead into halftime. Hartwick held the Trailblazers (1-2) to 4-for-23 shooting (17 percent) in the first half.

Freshman forward Josh MacKenzie (Mount St. Joseph Academy/Castleton, Vt.) fnished with 12 points and six rebounds, and sophomore guard Ramose Modesto (Holy Cross/Queens, N.Y.) contributed nine points and four rebounds for the Hawks.

Senior guard Robert Mitchell (Central/Brooklyn, N.Y.) had 15 points and 10 rebounds, and sophomore guard J.P. Quintal (Queensbury/Queensbury, N.Y.) added 12 points for Massachusetts College.

Hartwick will host St. Joseph's College (Long Island) for a non-conference game at 2 p.m. Saturday.
