Fredonia, NY — Spartans Battle Hard but Fall

A late barrage of three's lifted Fredonia's Blue Devils to a 79-66 victory over the visiting D'Youville Spartans. After closing the gap and making a run Fredonia sank 4 straight three-pointers and the Spartans could not make up the difference in the late stages of the game. Fredonia was paced by Randall Thomas with 21 points on 9 of 12 shooting for the night. Chris Donahue chipped in 20 points and went 5-9 from behind the arc for the Blue Devils.

The Spartans were led in scoring by Kyle Ward with 23 points and 8 assists. Ward was 9-11 from the charity stripe. Swing man Ross King charted a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards. Senior co-captain Justin Cooke also recorded his own double-double by recording 15 points and 10 off the glass.
