Marywood held the lead for most of the first half and went into halftime with a 39-36 advantage, but the Crusaders came out strong in the second half and kept Marywood scoreless for over five-minutes as they built a 68-60 lead. Marywood would fight back, thanks in part to an 18-point performance from Lawrence Tompkins, and brought the game within one when Matt Chapman (14 points) hit a three from 35 feet out with 1.8 seconds left. The Crusaders were able to in-bound the ball and run out the clock, however, and the Pacers fell to 2-1 on the year.
Marywood returns to action a week from Wednesday as they host College Misericordia in a key PAC-opening contest on December 4th at 8:00 pm.
