St. Thomas 66, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 64

Claremont, CA — Junior Erica Opdahl had 17 points and eight rebounds to lead St. Thomas to a 66-64 victory over Claremont in non-conference women's basketball play Sunday evening in Claremont, Calif.

The Tommies (1-1) led 31-28 at halftime and held on as tyhey shot 42% from the field and made 14-of-18 at the foul line.

Sooph Melissa Keiser had a career-high nine points and freshmen Patricia Hall and Connie Rudolh also scored nine points each. Vel Williams had eight points, five assists and three steals.

The Tommies are off until Dec. 1 when they open MIAC play at home vs. Carleton.
