Rochester 75, Stevens 61

ROCHESTER, NY — Tournament MVP Seth Hauben (Newton, MA/Newton North) scored 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead fifth-ranked Rochester to a 75-61 victory over Stevens Tech in the Chuck Resler Championship Game at the Palestra.
Freshman Jeff Juron (Niskayuna, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) scored 18 points for the Yellowjackets. Senior guard Brendan McAllister (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) joined Hauben on the all-tournament team. He scored 15 points, all in the second half, and hit four three point goals.
Junior Isaac Moore (Phoenix, AZ/Moon Valley) led the Ducks with 20 points and five steals. He was named to the all-tournament team with senior guard Jimmy Dominkewicz (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) who scored 11 points tonight and had 29 in two games.
Hauben grabbed 32 rebounds in two games and broke a 20-year old tournament rebounding record.
Juron hit three consecutive three-pointers in less than two minutes as Rochester opened a 22-11 lead in the first half. The Yellowjackets led, 34-28, at halftime.
Stevens battled back. A layup and subsequent three-pointer by Moore got the Ducks within 38-37 with 15:53 left in the game. The Yellowjacket lead was six, 48-42, when McAllister sank three three-pointers and a layup within 3:48 to extend the lead to 61-49 with 5:05 left.
