Kalamazoo 105, MacMurray 89JACKSONVILLE, Il. — After dropping their season opener to Wheaton College, the MacMurray Highlanders dropped game #2 to Kalamazoo 105-89. MacMurray is working on a new offense this season and it has been bittersweet so far. They are able to put up points but have not been able to hold the opponents down. Zach Kowa and Renaldo McIntosh each scored 15 while Rockie Robinson added 12 and Kevin Downham 11 but it wasn't enough. MacMurray had a 9 point lead in the first half, but when the Hornets got the lead they never lost it and went on to win by 16. The Highlanders forced 33 turnovers but were out rebounded 51-44 and gave up too many fast-break baskets. They will have their home opener on Monday against Monmouth as they gain experience with their new offense and hope to put a "W" in the books.
