Rockford, Ill. — #25 Hope College (Mich.) defeated Simpson 68-50 in the semifinals of the Rockford Tournament Nov. 19 in Rockford, Ill. The Flying Dutch forced 30 Storm turnovers, 20 in the first half alone. Hope led 33-19 at halftime.

Heather Kay was the only Simpson player to score in double figures. She had 11 for the Storm.

It was the first time since 1998 (84-70 to Northwestern, Iowa) that Simpson lost the squad’s season opener.
