The Blazers, who led 41-40 at intermission, received 17 points apiece from junior guard James Vassar (Waterbury, CT) and freshman forward Renato Lindmets (Springfield, MA).
Sophomore guard John Ancrum (Harlem, NY) and junior forward Lonnie Branyon III (West Haven, CT) scored 12 and 10 points, respectively in the loss.
Bridgewater State (1-0 overall) received 24 points from junior David Rukstalis (Norwood, MA) and 23 points from senior Peter Santos (Fairhaven, MA).
