The Leopards trailed by as much as 16 in the first half before outscoring the Crusaders 19-8 over the final 9:00 of the half and trailed, 39-34, at the break.
The second half saw Wentworth use an 18-5 run to open the half and take an eight-point (52-44 lead with 14:22 left. Eastern Nazarene used an 8-0 run to tie the game at 52 with 9:57 left in the game and would eventually lead 65-61 with 5:10 left.
Over the final 5:00 there were five times where the score was tied, including 72-72 with 2:27 left. Wentworth freshman forward Matt Zeszotek (Middleburg Heights, Ohio) then hit a jumper to give the Leopards a 74-72 lead with 1:46 left. Eastern Nazarene bounced back, knotting the score at 74-all with 34 seconds left on a basket by junior guard Will Harvey (Roxbury, Mass.).
With 26.1 seconds left, Wentworth called a timeout, and on the ensuing inbounds pass, junior forward Tim Callahan (Clinton, Conn.), who hit the game-winner against Salve Regina Tuesday night, worked the ball around and took a 17-foot jumper that bounced off the left rim. Hall put the rebound back and through the net as the final horn sounded.
Senior guard David Iannotti (Sandwich, Mass.) led the Leopards with 17 points. Zeszotek chipped in with 16, while Callahan netted 14, grabbed eight boards and blocked four shots.
Eastern Nazarene was led by senior guard Matt Chewning (Scotch Plains, N.J.), who had a game-high 18 points.
