The win improves Union’s record to 4-3 in the conference and 14-4 overall. The victory also keeps the Dutchmen in the UCAA regular-season title hunt as five teams (Union, Hamilton, St. Lawrence, Hobart, and Skidmore) entered the day with 3-3 circuit records. Vassar, meanwhile, dropped to 2-14 overall, 0-7 in the UCAA.
