Plattsburgh, NY — The Plattsburgh State women’s basketball team fell behind by as many as 15 points in the second half by rallied back to within five points in the closing seconds but ran out of time as Buffalo State recorded a 70-63 SUNYAC victory at Memorial Hall in Plattsburgh.
Scottie Rovito and Erin Hutchinson each scored five points in the final four minutes of the game as the Cardinals (6-12, 2-7) hit it’s last six straight shots from the field.
Hutchinson led the Cards with 15 points and Rovito added 14. Rene Klementowski chipped in 11 and Tiffany Hauser added 10 for Plattsburgh.
Rovito moved past TJ Cornwright into fourth place on the all-time career-scoring list on Friday night and Hutchinson moved past Cornwright with her first two points of the game. Rovito now has 979 career points and Hutchinson has 976.
