Ngobeni also grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds and blocked two shots. He shot 10-for-15 from the field. Joe Smith registered 17 points and nine rebounds for Hamilton (4-3 UCAA, 12-5 overall), which shot 65 percent (22-for-34) from the field in the second half. C.J. Cantil added 14 points, nine boards and five assists. Greg Leone chipped in 12 points and five assists, and Tim Welchons scored 10 points off the bench.
Ahmad Toussaint led the Saints (3-4, 11-5) with 17 points, three assists and three blocks. Pat Delmonico came off the bench to score 12 points. St. Lawrence was outrebounded 48-34 by the Continentals.
Hamilton led 31-19 at halftime and 38-27 with 17:25 left. The Continentals upped their advantage to 20 points at 51-31 on a Smith jumper with 14:05 remaining. The Saints didn’t get any closer than 14 points the rest of the game.
Hamilton honored 2003 All-America selection Joe Finley ’03 at halftime. The Continentals will continue its conference slate with a game against Skidmore College at Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on Feb. 6 at 8 p.m.
