CHICOPEE, Ma. — Elms College senior forward Tina Fontaine (Granby, MA) recorded her seventh double-double of the season with a game-high 20 points and 10 rebounds and the Blazers had four players reach double figures en route to a convincing 63-41 win over Wheelock College in Saturday afternoon’s North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women’s basketball game at the Maguire Center.

Elms College snapped its three-game losing streak to improve to 3-13 overall, 3-7 NAC. Wheelock fell to 0-15 overall, 0-10 NAC.

Sophomore guard Sarah Castro (Russell, MA) added 12 points and 9 rebounds; while senior guard Andrea Malloch (Carver, MA) scored 14 points, and sophomore forward Mary Kate Roos (Ridgefield, CT) contributed with 10 points.
br> The Blazers led at the half by a score of 33-14 and held a decisive 30-11 edge in rebounding.

Sophomore guard Rebekah Furey-Rosan (Doylestown, PA) led Wheelock with 17 points.

Elms College travels to NAC foe Bay Path College on Tuesday, February 3. Tip-off is 7:00 p.m.
